  Storing your perfume What you may not know is that perfume loses its fragrance over time. That's a shame, because that's also how the charm of the fragrance disappears. How long does perfume keep? On average, you can use a bottle of perfume for a maximum of 4 to 5 years. So it is smart to use even the most luxurious fragrances regularly. After all, does a perfume sit on the shelf for too long?   T his blog explains the different types of fragrances and why some last longer, are more expensive, and perform better. In general, the term  fragrance ,   coming from the word ‘fragrant’ itself, means “a pleasant, sweet scent”. Therefore, any object associated with this word means anything that enhances the smell of another object to your/others’ liking. Others use the term  scent , for me this term can mean anything from the smell of cats to the smell of a Greek Goddess as I believe it can mean any particular smell. There are different types of perfume, each with its own unique fragrance. The most common type is alcohol-based perfume, which is made from a mixture of alcohol and essential oils compound.
